Importing Database from Version 9.0 to 10.0 |
NOTE: You only need importing database from version 9.0 to 10.0 if you used FontExpert of earlier version 9.0 to assign tags to fonts (keywords, categories, ratings, captions) and want to export these tags to new version 10.0. To import database, copy
FontExpert.db file from version 9.0 to version 10.0. |

Press Go to folder button. FontExpert will open Windows Explorer window in the "...\FontExpert\10.0\" folder where ver. 10.0 database is located. Windows XP: By default, this folder is located within "c:\Documents and Settings\<User name>\Application Data\..." path. Windows Vista: By default, this folder is located within "c:\Users\<User name>\AppData\Roaming\..." path. Application data folders are hidden folders and displayed in Windows Explorer when the option to display hidden folders and files is selected. |

2. Exit from FontExpert 10.0. 3. Rename "...FontExpert\10.0\FontExpert.db" file to, for example, "FontExpert.db.ver10.old". 4. Go to the neighboring "...\FontExpert\9.0\", copy FontExpert.db file of version 9.0, and paste it to the "...\FontExpert\10.0\" folder. 5. Run FontExpert 10.0. On start up FontExpert will detect older database and will suggest converting database to new format(usually it takes few seconds). |
