Re: Type 1 fonts in FE2019

Please clarify some details: 1) version of Windows (Win 10, Win 7 or earlier?) 2) do you see that PostScript fonts are not visible in Adobe Illustrator immediately after installing the PostScript font in FontExpert (= install a font in FontExpert, go to Illustrator, check its font menu)? In past the...

Re: SVG OTF Fonts no preview

I do not think it as issue of Windows 10, but it is probably a compatibility issue between SVG font, its format, and the software that uses the font. I do not have any of the fonts you mentioned, unfortunately, but I have found two SVG fonts (free for personal usage), Abelone and Playbox, both are O...

Re: What if I select ALL fonts and uninstall them?

To optimize system fonts and to get an idea which fonts are important and which are optional, choose menu command: Tools / Show Installed Fonts... see 4th column: Known Font Comment . In this column FontExpert gives some notes on font origin, for example: "Comes with Windows", "Comes with MS Office"...

Re: FontExpert 2019 Text Sample

Text sample in version 14 and earlier allowed in-place editing, but editing mode did not support kerning. So, if the kerning mode was turned ON ("Ke" button pressed), then to type new text you had to turn it OFF, then type sample text, and then turn the Kerning mode ON again. This is the biggest rea...

Re: Register fontexpertadmin.dll

FontExpertAdmin.dll file is used as admin object to issue tasks at UAC that require administrator permissions, such as permanent installation of a fonts or installation with copying to Winows/Fonts folder. Re: Old backup ZIP file is missing inf file

The latest versions does not have 1.2 GB limitation on backup ZIP file size. The Backup / Restore feature in version 16.0 was tested with a Library containing more than 20,000 fonts and resulting backup ZIP file size more than 3 GB.

Re: FontExpert 2019 Text Sample

In new version you can insert a special marker for new line character ("\n") in the edit box where you type the sample text (where you see "Enter your own text" prompt).
For example:
"My text\nThis is the second line\nThis is the third line"

Re: Trial Version install

Yes, you can have version 2014 and 2019 installed together. Both version will work on the same computer. 1) I recommend you to try 64-bit version 16.0 and in this case it is not needed even to change the default installation path. (License key works for both 64-bit and 32-bit build and you only need...
