Change backup and app data folder?

Post by pstein »

When I go in Fontexport v10 to Options-->General tab then I can setup the
- Backup folder
- Application data folder

1.) How can I DISABLE backup completely?

2.) How can I setup the application data folder (=I guess its where the settings are stored) relative to the installation directory
of Fontexpert? How can I change it at all?

I want to put all settings/application data into a subfolder (e.g. "./mysettings) of Fontexpert base folder.

Thx

To disable backup reminder see Tools/Options.../Scheduled Tasks.
In version 11 (and version 10) AppData folder is used by default as it is genedic place where write operation is allowed. It is not possible to chang it (and to change the location where the database file is saved). But we keep in mind this request, and plan to allow customization of this folder in the following version of FontExpert.

After 6 years it is still not possible to change AppData folder (and to change the location where the database file is saved).
I have small (only 240 GB) SSD, and there is no place to backups fonts. I need to place the database on second HD drive.
Please, HELP users with this problem.

Jerzy
